The Heat on my shoulders, I feel
The sweat on my brow
As I face the day’s trial
All I can say is how
How did I get through that day?
That has now drifted away
How did I get through it?
I will tell
Wet and muddy I feel as I plow through a slough
I swim to a tree, no ordinary tree
A tree that gave life through one touch,
It filled me with glee
When I found that tree a burden flew from me.
Feeling what I once felt, was no longer there
A weight lifted off my shoulders
And I knew I was forgiven.
Forgiveness shows many forms
One which all does see
And one that hides its face in the dark
Waiting to be let out
But be encouraged for if you go to that tree
You will be forgiven.
All you have to do is ask.
And the fruits will show themselves.
